Why are Vaccinations important?

Immunization is a global health success story, saving millions of lives every year. Vaccines reduce risks of getting a disease by working with your body's natural defenses to build protection. When you get a vaccine, your immune system responds.

Q: Why should I consider getting vaccinated?
A: Vaccinations help protect you and your loved ones from preventable diseases by boosting your immunity. They also reduce the risk of severe illness and complications.

 

Q: What types of vaccinations are available at the TLC event?
A: Common adult vaccinations, such as flu, pneumococcal, and other recommended vaccines, will be offered. Specific types will be confirmed closer to the event date.

 

Q: Do I need to prepare anything before getting vaccinated?
A: Please bring along your NRIC and any past vaccination records, if available. It’s also best to inform the medical team of any allergies or existing health conditions.

 

Q: Are there any side effects after vaccination?
A: Most side effects are mild, such as slight soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or fatigue. These usually resolve within a few days. The medical team will advise you further during the session.

 

Q: Who should avoid certain vaccinations?
A: Individuals with severe allergies to vaccine components or who are currently unwell may be advised to postpone or avoid certain vaccines. Always consult with the attending doctor during the event.

 

Q: How long will the vaccination process take?
A: The process is quick and usually takes around 15–20 minutes, including registration and observation time after the jab.

 

Q: Why do I need to arrive 30 minutes before my prospect’s/client’s slot?
A: Arriving early allows your prospect or client to easily find you before their scheduled time. It also gives you a buffer to ensure all required documents are ready, and provides an opportunity to open a case or set an appointment with them if needed.
